The excellence of a successful anime depends on several factors, plot and its progress, characters, and most importantly, presentation( in terms of good quality drawings ). The melancholy of haruhi suzumiya produced a 13 episode clip under a 25 episode frame budget, despite retaliations from the company's profit managers saying that 13 episodes would sell for less than one which is 25, the anime proved to be one of the best clips around and its popularity surely have brought revenue. Having recently completed another mind blowing anime, Code Geass, i realised why this series proved so popular.(if you don't know any of these two, ur either, sua gu, or stuck in the spiral of naruto and bleach, i shall comment of them later). The complexity of its plot distributed evenly among two seasons 25 episodes each gave viewers a large chunk of takeaway every week, each episode produced much progress, action, romance, a wide scope of flavours such that one feels contented yet hungry for more. Plot is a sacred essence, it mustn' be generic nor never ending, it entailed substantial progress and rich development and of course, a satisfying ending. Code Geass contained a plot like noneother, unique-ness, combined with excellent drawings gave many fans, while those whom do no appreciate complex twists and prefer a simple story line, such is not one for you.
Another great anime would be clannad, skipping gundam 00 as it probably have a similar rating if not lower than code geass. Clannad, a totally different genre, too caught my attention, classified Shoujo, im probably not its appropriate audience. Its trump card was too its drawing, the girls in there were perfect, a wide variety of personalities and of course male characters as well, unlike some extremely cliched plots of a bunch of girls falling for some average idiotic guy or some rich and famous guy liking a commoner girl. A second turn off would be disproportionately large eyes accompanied with small frames and short skirts and what i hate most, high pitched voices, which are downright artificial. Im glad a second season is going to be released alongside 35 other serieses of which i would only catch 5. Gundam 00 season 2 included of course. For those whom have been shunned away by previous gundam serieses of kira "pawning" everything, and irritating repeated scenes, i share your sentiment. However gundam 00 has NO repeated scenes, detailed drawings and distinguishing audio and of course, a good plot, however it lacks bgr, which would have made it comparable to Code geass. Code geass too has its flaws, one being that its plot is probably too complex and i would have to watch episode 23 twice to understand what lelouch's parents were trying to accomplish.
Another extremely important factor for plots to actually progress is that characters actually die in conflict related stories. D grayman, One piece, Bleach, naruto to some extent, has immortal characters, which makes it very frustrating as they add more characters to "fill" their 2 year contract with the tv company to continue producing episodes. Code geass is a unique series where the main character actually dies, gloriously of course. but of course my heart will be spared from pain if lelouch had lived. As a general guide to choosing anime, look at the number of comments at the end of the video stream or download, as it gives a rough and accurate guide of how good the anime is, and any anime that has beyong 50 episodes per season probably is not good, to be exact, 25. Naruto and especially bleach, doesn't seems to have much progress in plot, nevermind more trival and childish genres of One piece and Dgrayman but bleach as least, rated shounen, should involve more than brainless bloodshed and bad graphics. Naruto has a relatively better plot which resolves about uchiha, but still, has 200 episodes of fillers in the first season, more than many whole animes itself. An alternative would be the manga, but not if your the type with weak imaginative ability.
A list of anime i would reccomend you guys: Code geass(both seasons), gundam 00(both seasons), Clannad(both), Macross frontier, Melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, Ouran high school host club, Nana(best), this isn't all there is but is all i can't think of at this moment. thats all i have to say for anime.
Another two of my relatively good friends seem to be getting tgt soon. Its not that i want to be in a relationship, im not in a hurry. its more that its depressing to see ur friends leave you just because they have their bfs and gfs to be with, it worsens if u can no longer trust them cause bf/gf takes priority. Thankfully i have a handful whom aren't gna be attached any time soon like myself to hang ard with. One of them told me to go find a gf, its not that i cannot or don't want to, its more that i don't want to find one jus for the sake of it, through past experiences i know the kind of responsibility it takes and i dun wanna get involved, not at least till i can be friends with someone who hates meXD.
Today i said hi to pink princess, she started at me and looked extremely frightened, hmm my pimples arent THAT bad right, haha. Well she was nice and realised who i was, guess those in the fast lane don't look back on those in the slower, what a pity. The Mrt train broke down or something today and the whole train was late, a big chunk of students walked to school tgt and the teacher, humty dumty refused to believe that the train was late. Then came the series of cliqued naggings and saliva rattling before some indian scholars from debate club explained to them and they let us off. Does it really matter what time we reach school?this is after all pre-university education and the school should let students take care of their own learning and punctuality. oh well, a school is a school.
Lame comment of the day: The attactiveness of a girl is directly proportionate to the size of her breasts?!? E***** theory.
